Jakyrah Palmer
Kaneta Smith
Cori Burton
  • Founder & Certified Christian Mental Health Coach

After graduating from Berrien Springs High School, Cori began working at a local high school in her hometown of Benton Harbor, Michigan—a role that profoundly shaped her perspective. There, she had the privilege of working with intelligent, passionate, and resilient students. However, she quickly recognized a troubling gap: despite their immense potential, many of these students lacked access to the essential tools and resources needed to thrive both academically and mentally.

This experience ignited a deep passion in Cori to address these disparities. She realized that, like many of the youth she encountered, countless individuals in minority communities face similar challenges due to limited access to resources that promote mental wellness and personal growth. Motivated by this realization, Cori founded Grounded Incorporation, an organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities with the tools needed to navigate life’s challenges in healthy and effective ways.
