After graduating from Berrien Springs High School, Cori began her work with students in her hometown of Benton Harbor, where she recognized a critical gap: many young people, despite their potential, lacked access to the tools, guidance, and support needed to thrive emotionally, mentally, and socially.

Motivated to address this need, Cori pursued advanced training in youth mental health and life coaching, earning certifications through recognized programs. She went on to found Grounded, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth and young adults, particularly in underserved communities, through free mental health coaching, mentorship, life-skills development, and creative programming.

Cori’s approach thoughtfully integrates faith-based principles with evidence-based mental health practices, creating a well-rounded framework for growth and healing. She focuses on helping young people build emotional awareness, resilience, and regulation skills, while also fostering a sense of identity, purpose, and hope.

Through her leadership, Grounded has become a trusted space for support, connection, and purposeful development, where practical tools and faith work together to promote lasting well-being and positive life outcomes.

Christian Mental Health Mentor

Jada Willis is a Christian Mental Health Mentor committed to uplifting the youth and strengthening communities through faith-based leadership and compassionate support. Grounded in her belief of “being the voice for the voiceless,” Jada approaches her work with intentionality and care.

Her mission is to uplift and empower others to walk boldly in their purpose, embrace their journey toward wholeness, and live in a way that reflects the light within them.

Apostle Andre Palmer serves as the spiritual covering and mentor for Grounded, providing the seasoned wisdom and apostolic oversight essential to its mission. As the Senior Pastor of Bethel Christian Restoration Center, with over 20 years of dedicated service, Apostle Palmer embodies the essence of a servant leader, defined by a profound well of integrity and wisdom.

In his role as a spiritual executive, he ensures the organization’s work remains holistically aligned with the heart of God. He operates under the firm conviction that strong spiritual and emotional foundations are the bedrock of thriving communities, a belief that fuels his philosophy of engaging, equipping and empowering individuals to walk in their divine purpose.

Beyond the pulpit, Apostle Palmer is a pillar of the community known for his ability to bridge biblical counsel with practical life application. His commitment to serving God’s people is marked by integrity and a genuine desire to see others thrive emotionally and spiritually. Through his leadership and service, he provides a mantle of safety. He ensures that Grounded remains a place where faith is fortified and the next generation is prepared to live purposefully with resilience and hope.
