After graduating from Berrien Springs High School, Cori began her career working with students in Benton Harbor, Michigan, where she recognized a critical gap: many young people, despite their potential, lacked access to the tools, guidance, and emotional support needed to thrive academically, mentally, and socially.

Determined to address this need, Cori pursued advanced training in youth mental health and life coaching, earning certifications through recognized programs. She founded Grounded Incorporation, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth—particularly in minority and underserved communities—through free mental health coaching, mentorship, life-skills development, and creative programming.

Cori focuses on helping young people develop emotional awareness, resilience, and regulation skills, equipping them to navigate challenges with confidence and hope. Through her leadership, Grounded has become a trusted space for growth, healing, and lasting personal transformation, integrating creative expression and prayer as tools for mental and emotional wellness.

Pastor Palmer, the esteemed leader of Bethel Christian Restoration Center, serves as the spiritual mentor for Grounded. Widely respected and well-known throughout the community, Pastor Palmer is recognized not only for his unwavering faith but also for his extraordinary heart of service. As an apostle and devoted servant of God, he has dedicated his life to uplifting others, guiding youth and adults alike toward spiritual growth, purpose, and healing.

With decades of ministry experience, Pastor Palmer brings wisdom, compassion, and a deep understanding of God’s word to every initiative he supports. His commitment to fostering hope, character, and resilience in the community aligns seamlessly with Grounded’s mission to provide Christian-based mental health resources and empower the next generation.
