THE TEAM

Founder & Certified Mental Health & Life Coach
After graduating from Berrien Springs High School, Cori began her career at a local high school in her hometown of Benton Harbor, Michigan, where she had the privilege of working with intelligent, passionate, and resilient students. It was here that she recognized a critical gap: many young people, despite their immense potential, lacked access to the tools and resources necessary to thrive academically, emotionally, and mentally.
Driven by this realization, Cori pursued advanced training in youth mental health and life coaching, earning certifications through Light University and other recognized programs. Equipped with this expertise, she founded Grounded Incorporation, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth and young adults—particularly in minority and underserved communities—through free mental health coaching, mentorship, life-skills development, and creative programming.
Cori’s mission is to provide accessible, compassionate support that equips young people with the strategies, confidence, and resilience needed to navigate life’s challenges and achieve their full potential. Through her leadership, Grounded has become a trusted space for growth, healing, and lasting personal transformation.
